While the rest of the Internet world was sitting in their underwear trying to create another million dollar home page Andy Liu was getting his MBA from the incredibly prestigious Wharton School of Business after getting his bachelors in computer science. As a kid, Andy learned the basics of being an entrepreneur in his parents’ basement. Like a good young businessman, when he would learn of a guest visit, he would find things around the house he thought he could sell, and offer these products to the guests for purchase. As a teen, he learned the ups and downs of owning and running a business while working as a cashier at Godfather’s Pizza.

His first bright idea was thought up on the altitudinous peaks of Machu Picchu; he would create the world’s most viewed website about T.V. shows. He realized to do this he would have to go head to head with companies like Disney, Time-Warner, NBC, CBS, and Fox among others. And in the entrepreneurial spirit of taking risks, Andy won the battle. A few years later, he raised $9 million in Venture Capital money and created BuddyTv, now the largest television site on the Internet. In March of this year, Buddytv.com had over 3 million unique individuals visit it. That is roughly one out of every 100 people in the U.S.!!!

He is also the writer of InspiredStartup, a website for people who ”dream and execute”. Andy writes about how to start a business and eventually take it to the next level. He is such a nice guy that he wants to impart his own successful knowledge and wisdom on the minds of those who aspire to be as successful and wise as he is.

Apart from the professional side of business, Andy is hoping to use entrepreneurship to solve extreme poverty. He has taken action and partnered up with others in the business to build a tech center for an impoverished community in Central America.

Aside from BuddyTv and InspiredStartup, Andy currently sits on 4 boards as well as 2 non-profits and has invested in 13 companies. He is always chock full of new ideas and loves hearing about other entrepreneurial successes apart from his own. He is a huge Seattle sports fan and is always willing to help out a fellow entrepreneur or aspiring entrepreneur.
